The Burgas branch of Sofia University “St. Kliment Ohridski” officially opened the 2025/2026 academic year with a formal ceremony held at Tria Space – the modern multifunctional venue in Central Park Burgas. The event brought together university leadership and official guests, highlighting the growing importance of higher education opportunities in the region.

A key moment of the ceremony was the presentation of the newly launched undergraduate programs in Japanese and Chinese languages, welcoming their first cohort of students this year. The new programs expand the academic profile of the branch and support international dialogue and cultural exchange.

In the 2025/2026 academic year, students in programs such as East Asian Studies (with Japanese and Chinese), as well as Mathematics and IT majors from Sofia University, will study at Tria Space – now a vibrant and forward-looking university hub in Burgas.
