For the second consecutive year, Central Park Burgas hosted the Person of the Year Awards, organised by Flagman News Agency. During the ceremony, the complex presented NEXT – the Award for Emerging Leaders, an initiative established by Central Park to recognise exceptional young talent and provide financial support for their development.

This year’s recipient, Victoria Ivanova, is a ninth-grade student at Goethe German Language High School in Burgas. Through her own fundraising initiative, supported by donors and fellow students, she organised a three-day trip to Pamporovo for 50 children in residential care in Sredets.

The award was presented by Burgas Mayor Dimitar Nikolov. Victoria received an honorary plaque and a financial prize from Central Park Burgas.

Established in 2024, NEXT recognises young people making a difference in science, innovation, entrepreneurship, culture, sports and social causes. Its first recipients were talented young mathematicians Angel Hristov and Petko Lazarov.

Through NEXT, Central Park Burgas is building a long-term platform to recognise and support young people whose ideas and actions are already making a difference. Victoria’s story demonstrates that leadership can begin long before a professional career.
